Marisa joined Compliagent in 2021 as a Compliance Consultant specializing in healthcare risk management, HIPAA Privacy and Security, and compliance program effectiveness. Marisa is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and brings a strong background in healthcare administration to her role, helping clients implement and maintain effective compliance programs across a variety of healthcare settings.
Marisa supports skilled nursing facilities, behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs, hospitals, and laboratory companies by conducting compliance audits, policy and procedure development, and training. She is especially skilled in analyzing and presenting compliance and operational data, using Excel to develop dashboards, compliance scorecards, and trending tools that support data-driven oversight. With a strong background in customer service, Marisa also excels at delivering regulatory training and guidance to all levels of staff within healthcare organizations.
A former teacher, Marisa draws on her instructional design experience to create engaging training materials that accommodate different learning styles. She is also an active member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
In her free time, Marisa enjoys listening to music, baking sourdough, and spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs.
