Veteran hospital CEO Dr. Josh Luke is Compliagent’s Chief Strategy Officer; a healthcare futurist; and a national thought-leader and international speaker on care coordination, population health management, readmission prevention and the health system of the future. He is regarded as a "futurist" on the Affordable Care Act and how it will shape the continuum of care and has been described as an innovator, forward-thinking and a strategist on teaching ACO’s, BPCI’s, acute hospitals and post-acute leaders how to position themselves for revenue growth in a post-ACA model.  

He serves as Executive Faculty at the University of Southern California, Sol Price School of Public Policy. He also served as Interim CEO for Memorial Hospital of Gardena and prior to that as Interim Regional Administrator for SNF Management. Having uniquely held executive positions in both acute and post-acute settings, Dr. Luke was selected to author the book Readmission Prevention: Solutions Across the Provider Continuum published by the American College of Healthcare Executives. Readmission Prevention: Solutions Across the Provider Continuum is one of the best-selling management series books of 2015 from Health Administration Press.   

In 2013, Luke was named Vice President of Post Acute Services for Torrance Memorial Health System. In that role he designed a population management strategy (Total Wellness Torrance), working with the ACO, Bundled Payment & IPA teams. TWT and its Post Acute Network received the 2013 Excellence in Programming award from CAHF.  

Prior experience includes serving as the CEO of acute hospitals in California, HealthSouth Las Vegas (acute rehab), Administrator in the Skilled Nursing Division of Kindred, and direct oversight of home health and hospice services as health system vice president.

He founded the National Readmission Prevention Collaborative and the National Bundled Payment Collaborative. He previously instructed in the Healthcare Administration Department at California State University, Long Beach as well as at California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Luke has a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, served as a Lean Mentor and Project Chair, is a Fellow with ACHE and is past Chair for the Cal Optima Provider Advisory Committee.

Recent and past board appointments include The California Hospital Association Center for Post Acute Board of Directors, the Hospital Association of Southern California, Healthcare Executives of Southern California and the CSULB Healthcare Administration Advisory Board. He is also a licensed SNF & RCFE Administrator and preceptor.
